Photos in the top menu is the team's shared album. It replaces the group text where everyone's pictures from the game get traded, compressed, and lost. Any member of the team, parent or coach, can add photos and short videos, tag who is in them, and download them at full size.
Adding photos and videos
Drop image files on the box at the top of the page, or click it to choose them. On a phone, choosing opens your camera roll. Several files can go up at once; each shows its progress.
Videos from your phone work too (MP4, MOV, and the other common formats), up to 500 MB each. That is a few minutes of normal phone video; if a longer one is skipped, trim it on your phone and try again. Videos play right on the page.
iPhone photos in HEIC format are converted to JPEG in your browser before they upload, so they show up for everyone regardless of their device. Very large photos are kept at full size.
Tagging
Under each photo is a chip for every jersey number on the roster. Tap the numbers of the kids in the picture; tap again to remove. Tagged photos appear on each player's page under Photos, and the count shows on their card on the Players page.
Downloading
Download under a photo saves the original file. Opening the photo itself shows it full size in a new tab.
Deleting
You can delete photos you uploaded. Coaches can delete any photo on the team. Deleting removes the file; there is no undo.
What parents should know
- Photos are visible only to the coaches and parents on this team. There is no public link.
- If you would rather a picture of your child not be up, ask the coach or the parent who posted it to remove it, or email team@sidelinemoments.com and we will.
