Sideline exists because youth football families get one short season a year, and most of it disappears.
It started with a camera on a tripod at a 10U game in Liberty Hill, Texas, and a 92-minute recording nobody had time to cut. The tools that could do it were built for high school programs with paid staff and priced accordingly. The free apps were built for scorekeeping and streaming, not for a coach with a real game file. So the first version of Sideline was a script on a laptop: mark the plays, cut the clips, hand out the stickers.
Fifty-four plays and one Monday practice later it was obvious what the product was. Not analytics. Not recruiting. A kid watching the play that earned their sticker, and a parent keeping it.
What we believe
- Every kid, not the ones with the organised parents. That’s why Sideline is sold to leagues and bundled into registration, so the whole roster gets it.
- Any camera. A phone on a tripod is enough. Hardware should never be the reason a team has no film.
- The film belongs on the coach’s computer. Clipping happens in the browser and only the plays travel. Nobody needs to upload nine gigabytes on a Sunday night.
- Kids are the point, never the users. Adults hold every account, spaces are private, and there is no public feed and no facial recognition.
- Families keep it. Download anything, any time. If a league moves on, the season goes with the family.
Where we are
Sideline is used by the team it was built for and is running a free pilot with its first leagues for the fall 2026 season. Football first; flag football and soccer next as leagues ask. We’re based in Liberty Hill, Texas, and the product runs on AWS in the United States.
